Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Ketabian LLC ("Ketabian", "we", "our") collects, uses, and protects information across our software products, including SpeakFluently, Sentipus, Fifths, and Best Brooklyn (each a "Product"). It applies to ketabian.com and to every Product unless that Product publishes a separate, more specific policy.

1. Scope

This policy covers personal information processed by Ketabian as a controller. Some Products may act as a processor on behalf of business customers; in those cases the customer's agreement governs.

2. What we collect

Information you provide

• Account data: name, email, password hash, language preferences.
• Content: audio, text, and other inputs you submit while using a Product (e.g. voice during a SpeakFluently session).
• Payment data: billing details processed by our payment processor (Stripe). We do not store full card numbers.
• Support correspondence: messages you send us at support@ketabian.com.

Information collected automatically

• Device & usage: IP address, device type, OS, app version, crash logs, and basic analytics events (screen views, feature usage).
• Cookies: a small number of first-party cookies for authentication and session continuity. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

3. How we use it

• To operate, maintain, and improve our Products.
• To provide AI-powered features (e.g. transcribing your voice in SpeakFluently and generating tutor responses).
• To process payments and prevent fraud.
• To respond to support requests and security incidents.
• To comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell personal information. We do not use your content to train third-party AI models, and we contractually require our AI sub-processors not to do so either.

4. Sharing & third parties

We share data only with vetted sub-processors who help us run the service:

• Cloud hosting: Google Cloud Platform / Firebase (USA).
• AI inference: OpenAI (USA) for real-time speech and language models.
• Payments: Stripe (USA).
• Analytics & crash reporting: Google Analytics, Sentry.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a corporate transaction (in which case we will notify affected users).

5. Retention

We keep account data for as long as your account is active. Voice and conversation transcripts in SpeakFluently are retained for up to 90 days after a session, then deleted or anonymized. You can request earlier deletion at any time.

6. Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate information.
• Delete your information ("right to be forgotten").
• Port your information to another service.
• Object to or restrict certain processing.
• Opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information (we do not sell or share for cross-context advertising).

To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@ketabian.com. We will respond within 30 days.

7. Children

Our Products are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact privacy@ketabian.com and we will delete it.

8. Security

We use industry-standard encryption in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest, restrict internal access on a least-privilege basis, and review our security posture regularly. No system is perfectly secure; please report vulnerabilities to security@ketabian.com.

9. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced in-product or by email at least 14 days before they take effect.
